Mobboss’s List Of Demands From The Penguins

In a fashion reminiscant of the Hill District Group I would like to make some ridiculous and absurd demands from the Pittsburgh Penguins. Just like the Hill District Group, I have absolutely no claims to anything from the Penguins and just like the Hill District Group, I mean about as much to the organization and the city’s success as a pile of sewage that goes floating down the Monongahela River from time to time. The Hill District Group wants $10 million a year for development and also a share of the revenues of the arena.(Haha, after all the problems funding the arena do they really think they are going to get something? Also, what entitles them to any of this, that is my big question?) Oh yeah, I almost forgot, they want 30% of the arena construction and development jobs to go to minorities. I would also like an explanation on this one, 30% of the jobs but only 12.8% of the US population??? Come on city leaders, show some guts and put this group and their unsubstantiated, farcical demands to rest. Tell them they will get nothing and like it. How many of the Hill District residents actually attend the Penguins games? Well, since I actually do attend the games and have supported the team and the city for 20+ years I think I have as much right to make demands as anybody. My demands will not be anywhere close to $10 million.

Mobboss’s Demands:
*I would like a Pittsburgh Sports Guys Luxury Box when possible.
*I would like Free Parking, actually scratch that, I would like Limo service to and from the games, which leads me to my next point.
*I would like 5 free beer vouchers for myself and the people I take to the games.
*I would like to be checked up on by a Pittsburgh Penguin Female Dance Squad Member 3 times a game.
*I would like a say in personnel moves.
*When the Penguins inevitably win the cup, I would like to walk around the ice with the cup. I’ll go last, the players can go first.
*Better throw some food vouchers in there too, I’m getting kind of hungry.
*And finally, I would like .001% of the Revenue from the Penguins and the new arena.

Hill District Group, if you have any questions or concerns I will gladly meet you. I’m sure I mean about as much to you as you do to the City of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Penguins, which is a number better measured on the negative Kelvin Scale.

According to Wikipedia, minorities make up 25% of the nations population...

White 74.67%
African American 12.12%
Asian and Pacific Islander 4.46%
Other 5.99%

And how do you know how many Hill District residents actually attend games?

The only Hill District residents that attend the games are the ones scalping tickets outside. It is a generalization, but a true one.

Wikipedia isn't the most reliable source out there but the US Census Bureau gives other numbers. However, we aren't talking about 30% of Asian and Pacific Islanders working the construction jobs. Even so, 30% of the construction jobs is still ridiculous to ask for when 25% of the US population is a minority. If you are able to demand the amount of workers on a job, we are going to have to start screening every single job and organization. How about starting with the NBA?

I didn't say I was for or against them getting the jobs. I was pointing out that there are more than just 12% minorities in this country.

Personally I think I'd rather see some of that $ go to the community than to owners.. thats just me though. I know if they were gonna build an arena down the street from my house, I'd want to know what they were gonna do for my community too, especially since I'd be the one that had to deal with traffic congestion etc...

I understand your point, however, I do think the Penguins give back a lot to the community with the different charities and such. That is one of the best things about the Pens staying in town, the looks on the kids faces when they visit Children's Hospital and many of the other things they do.
